The Ladon Legacy: Chapter 21

Just as dawn was breaking over Bridgeport there was a deep rumbling from the skies. The whole town stopped and held its breath as the shapes grew increasingly nearer.

Suddenly, it became clear what was happening and time seemed to speed up as people ran to escape the meteors hurtling towards them.

Much of Bridgeport was destroyed by the meteor shower. Scientists had predicted a close call but had been off target this time and it had cost lives.

A large chunk of rock hit squarely on the House of Halloween reducing it to rubble. Abel and Ebony managed to get Tanya and Steven to safety before the impact. As Abel rushed in to save the rest of his family the rock hit home.

Ebony: Abel! My babies! Nooo!

Tanya started in horror and shock unable to move. Steven ran towards what was left of the house hoping to find some sign of life.

Ebony wept as she realised that the rest of her family were lost.

Donavan looked as if he was sleeping in what was left of the dining room.

Toni had been crushed by a burnt out stereo.

The saddest thing to see was that Abel and Lileth had nearly made it, laying just near the front of the house.

As they watched death take their loved ones away Tanya saw Lileth’s ghost smiling at her through the flames.

Tanya screamed into the slowing approaching dusk.

Tanya: Why!!!!

Over the next few months Ebony, Tanya and Steven helped Bridgeport to regain its feet. The town came together as one, offering support to each other after the disaster.

Ebony had a new house built in Sunset Valley and once finished they moved away from Bridgeport and so began a new life for the Ladons.

So here we say goodbye to Abel, Toni, Donavan, Ghost Elizabeth, Ghost David and most importantly – Barry and Larry.

So here is the new Ladon house. Pretty pleased with this one so may stay for a while!

Tanya: Wow! We have a sprinkler!! So are you going to tell us who won the heir vote then?

Oops! Oh yeah almost forgot!

And our winner is…..

TANYA!!!

Tanya: Really? Oh wow, how will I cope with the responsibility?

Ahh, you’ll manage :)

For the moment Steven will be staying in the Legacy house. As you can see he as a small scar across his eye from the meteor disaster.

However Ebony’s scarring was much more severe.

The kids had settled into their new school well. Both making it onto the honour roll.

Tanya: Ugh! Mum didn’t say there would be homework in Sunset Valley!

However the new house had its advantages!

Steven: Oh yeah! Jammin!

Ebony: I’ll get you Zargon!!

Tanya: Yeah and its disadvantages. Get out of my way Neil!

We have new gnomes!! Say hello to Neil…

And Brian!

We also have Steve – who does nothing.

For someone who hates the outdoors you do a lot of fishing Steven!

Steven: What! I’m outdoors!! Argghhh!

Steven: I’m working off that outdoor freshness!

Gotta love that insane trait ;)

Steven was just back from delivering a fish to the science lab when he got an unexpected call.

Steven: Victoria? You’re alive!

As Tanya relaxed in the hot tub, Steven was catching up on things with Victoria.

They hadn’t seen each other in nearly a year and it was a little awkward to begin with.

Steven: I tried to call! I thought you were dead! How could you do that to me?

Victoria: Hey! Don’t lay all this on me! I lost people too you know. I was shipped off to my aunts here in Sunset Valley straight after the meteor shower and thought you had been killed until Austin saw you at school!

Steven: I’m sorry, I was just so scared I had lost you. But did you say Austin is alive? Don’t tell Tanya, I want to surprise her. She has missed him so much.
